Canvas - Integration - UDOIT
The UDOIT Cloud Course Accessibility checker has been approved for use within the University of Wisconsin System Digital Learning Environment. It will be available in all Canvas courses in the DLE (excluding Madison) starting October 12, 2020.
UDOIT is designed to assist faculty with improving the accessibility of their Canvas courses. It scans Canvas courses, provides easy-to interpret suggestions, and can automatically repair many common accessibility issues. For an overview of the tool, see the UDOIT Cloud Accessibility Tool page from Cidi Labs.
Instructors with questions about using UDOIT should reach out to their local campus IT Help Desk or Canvas administrators.
If the campus Canvas administrator determines there's a setup or configuration issue that requires escalation to the UWSA DLE team or the vendor, they can submit a ticket to email@example.com
(please mention "Canvas" or "DLE" so the ticket gets routed correctly).
No publicly available accessibility statement.
Data Usage and Security
In addition, the UDOIT Cloud Technical Overview
states "UDOIT does not require the use of any student information. It does not store any user data aside from the Canvas user ID of the person who initiated the course scan. Additionally, user information and authorization is all managed by Canvas. UDOIT stores a developer key that you provide upon installation and encrypted OAuth credentials for the LTI tools. "
