On 05/20/2019, the University of Wisconsin System will enable several upgrades to the way that instructors and students use Kaltura videos in Canvas.

Update 05/20/2019: Advanced video embed settings (#1) and In-Video Quiz question type (#3) implemented successfully. Implementation of Webcam Recorder (#2) delayed. Will update as progress made.
The new features include:
1) Advanced video embed settings giving users new options when embedding videos:
- optional video player with "Share" and "Download" buttons
- multiple sizes for the video window
- starting playback at a specific point within the larger video
- auto-playing video on page load
- audio-only player for audio files
For more details, see the Kaltura - Advanced Video Embed Options guide or the Kaltura Release Notes v5.82.
2) A simplified Webcam Recorder to let users record audio and video without installing any extra software or plugins. This is a second recording option, in addition to the existing Kaltura Capture. For more details, see the Kaltura - Recording Video with Webcam Recorder guide or the Kaltura Release Notes v5.82.
3) An additional question type for In-Video Quizzes, allowing instructors to set up text-entry questions in their quizzes. For more details, see the Kaltura - Interactive Video Quizzes guide or the IVQ Release Notes April 2019.
