Canvas - Integration - Codio

The Codio integration for Canvas is approved for use in the Universities of Wisconsin Digital Learning Environment. The Codio integration allows instructors to assign exercises from the Codio platform to students in Canvas and send grades from Codio back to Canvas.

Costs

Organizational subscriptions are available, or courses can be set up for student-pay, where students can pay an access fee per course.

New Users

Instructors interested in using Codio in Canvas should contact their institutional Canvas administrator.

Directions

For Instructors

After the Codio integration is installed for a Canvas course by the institutional Canvas administrator, instructors can follow these steps:

  1. First, turn on the "Enable LTI" option in your Codio Course's admin > LTI / LMS settings so that the course will show up when setting up external tool assignments in Canvas. See the section titled, "Enable LTI For Your Course," in this Codio guide document.
  2. Link Codio assignments in your Canvas course by following the steps in the section titled, "Part 4: Adding a resource," in this Codio guide document.

Product documentation is available at the Codio Instructor Help Center website.

For Students

Guides for students can be found at the Codio Student Help Center website.

Students and instructors needing support can use Codio's integrated support system in the Codio Dashboard and IDE. Please see the guide document Codio Support.
