Canvas (Enrollments) - SIS Import Outage 03/02/21

University of Wisconsin System institutions (except for UW Madison) may experience delays receiving new course, user, enrollment, and organization data in Canvas due to a Kimono outage announced on 03/02/21. Kimono is the middleware which passes Student Information System (SIS) data to Canvas.
This may have disrupted overnight bulk processes for transferring SIS data to Canvas the night of 03/01/21 to 03/02/21. Canvas administrators can check the status of their latest SIS imports to Canvas using UWS's custom SIS Status tool.
Instructure's SIS team is monitoring the situation closely. We will update this KB News item when normal functionality is restored.
