Kaltura (Captioning) - New captioning profile activated 08/18/21

In the University of Wisconsin System (except for UW Madison) instance of Kaltura, a new REACH captioning profile for professional captioning was deployed for a small number of authorized users. The vast majority of Kaltura users will experience no change in Kaltura captioning behavior.
The new captioning profile, "UW-Platteville Professional” will support a not-yet-started program at UW Platteville for paid professional captions for Kaltura videos. It should only be visible to a handful of users. UW Platteville users who wish more information on the upcoming program should contact their campus Kaltura administrators.
Other campuses interested in exploring paid professional captions for Kaltura videos should have their Kaltura Administrators reach out to the Digital Learning Environment Team.
