Blackboard Collaborate Ultra - Changes to Default Canvas Placement [Updated]

In preparation for the end of its contract for Blackboard Collaborate Ultra webconference services on June 30, 2021, the University of Wisconsin System can change the default placement of Blackboard Collaborate Ultra on the Canvas Course Navigation for UW institutions (except for UW Madison) which request it. Thus far, four institutions have made this request. The UW System Digital Learning Environment team has removed Blackboard Collaborate Ultra from the default Canvas Course Navigation on the UW Eau Claire and UW Green Bay Instructional subaccounts on 05/17/21, the UW Milwaukee Instructional subaccount on 05/28/21, and the UW La Crosse Instructional subaccount on 06/18/21.
These changes will remove Blackboard Collaborate Ultra from the Course Navigation of courses in those subaccounts if the instructor has not already edited the default Course Navigation. The effect will be to prevent students from accessing Blackboard Collaborate Ultra in those courses. Instructors who wish can manage course navigation links to add Collaborate Ultra back.
