Canvas (Term Dates) - Term Dates 05/07/21 [Updated]

Following a change request earlier this semester to lengthen academic terms in Canvas, the Digital Learning Environment Team has begun altering the "Term End Date" and "Teacher End Date" for academic terms in the the DLE Instructional Instance of Canvas (covering all UW institutions except for UW Madison).
Standard Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer Term End and Teacher End Dates in Canvas will extend for approximately 13 months beyond the term end date in each institution's Student Information System. UWEX terms and terms with a month in the title will not change. The Student, TA, and Designer End Dates for all terms will not change.
This change will make it easier for instructors to grant Incompletes to students using the Extend Student Access tool and will allow more campuses to use the same end dates in Canvas.
The work is expected to take approximately one week to complete.

The work is complete. The following Term End dates and Teacher End dates have been updated:
Fall 2020 – Term and Teacher access ends January 31, 2022
Student, TA and Designer access ends January 15, 2021
Winter 2020-21 – Term and Teacher access ends February 28, 2022
Student, TA and Designer access ends February 15, 2021
Spring 2021 – Term and Teacher access ends June 30, 2022
Student, TA and Designer access ends June 15, 2021
Summer 2021 – Term and Teacher access ends September 30, 2022
Student, TA and Designer access ends September 15, 2021
