The University of Wisconsin System instance of Canvas held a meeting on March 23, 2021, to review upcoming features in Canvas. New features in Canvas available after April 17, 2021:
- Course settings - Section Date Enhancement: A visual change is being made to the availability dates option for sections of a course. This update will make the visuals of the date settings for the sections match those of the course.
- Participation Restrictions and Term Visibility: The root level administrator can disable the Course Participation menu visibility for instructors. Since doing this would impact all courses across all campuses, we are opting to leave visibility on. This issue will be revisited if the options become more granular.
- New Quizzes - Multiple Attempts First Score Option: It will now b possible to give students multiple attempts on a quiz, but retain their first score as their grade.
