Canvas (Reports) - BETA DLE Datasets test deployment 02/18/21 [Updated]

On 02/18/21, the Digital Learning Environment Team deployed a test version of a custom Canvas reports tool for administrators to the DLE's production Instructional instance of Canvas. The BETA DLE Datasets tool allows Canvas administrators in the University of Wisconsin System (except for UW Madison) to run Canvas reports such as: course utilization, courses in the Canvas Root account, External Tools on Course Navigation, and search Content and Module links.
Canvas administrators should see a new navigation item for BETA DLE Datasets on their Admin navigation bar in the Instructional instance of Canvas.
Although the BETA DLE Datasets tool is itself a beta, it is deployed to the DLE's Production environment, rather than the Beta or Test environments. Feature development and performance improvement will be ongoing. Administrators who notice issues should use the "Report Issue or Ask a Question" form on the main page of the tool to send the issue or question to us.
The DLE Team will release more information and documentation as the tool nears final development.
