The UDOIT Cloud Course Accessibility checker will be available in all Canvas courses in the University of Wisconsin System Digital Learning Environment (excluding Madison) on October 12, 2020.

UDOIT is designed to assist faculty with improving the accessibility of their Canvas courses. It scans Canvas courses, provides easy-to interpret suggestions, and can automatically repair many common accessibility issues. For an overview of the tool, see the UDOIT Cloud Accessibility Tool page from Cidi Labs.

Shannon Aylesworth from the UW Milwaukee Accessibility Resource Center and the UW Milwaukee CETL team are partnering to provide the train the trainer sessions starting in October. Good candidates for the train the trainer sessions would include accessibility office staff, Canvas support and training teams, instructional designers, library teams, and other groups who assist faculty with course design. See the Digital Learning Environment Events page to sign up for a train the trainer session.
