Blackboard Collaborate Ultra - Large Event Requests
Normal Blackboard Collaborate Ultra events have a limit of 250 participants. Users within the University of Wisconsin (UWS) who are planning an event for more than 250 participants can now edit existing sessions to accommodate more than 250 participants.
Self-service Configuration:
First, follow the steps in Blackboard's Schedule Sessions from the Scheduler guide to create a Blackboard Collaborate Ultra session. You can do this in the Collaborate Ultra Scheduler, within a Canvas course that has Collaborate Ultra enabled, or the My Wisconsin Portal.
Once the session has been saved, you should be taken to the Edit Session screen.
Go to Session Settings and click the checkbox labeled Large scale session (250+).
- Checking the box next to "Allow 250+ attendees to join" will change the session to a Large Event. This option only shows after the session has been created.
- It is recommended that Large Event sessions be limited to 4 to 6 hours each.
If you need more information or you don't see the Large scale session (250+) option, see Blackboard's Collaborate Ultra Large Event Request guide.
