Bucky Backup (Linux) - Stopping and Starting the Client Scheduler

This document explains how to stop and start the Bucky Backup client for linux scheduler.

Stopping the Bucky Backup Client Scheduler

  • If you use the CAD-managed scheduler:
    • For Redhat Linux
      • sudo service dsmcad stop
    • For SuSe Linux
      • sudo /etc/init.d/dsmcad stop
  • If you select the traditional client scheduler method:
    • sudo killall dsmc

Starting the Bucky Backup Client Scheduler

  • If you use the CAD-managed scheduler:
    • For Redhat Linux
      • sudo service dsmcad start
    • For SuSe Linux
      • sudo /etc/init.d/dsmcad start
  • If you select the traditional client scheduler method:
    • sudo /opt/tivoli/tsm/client/ba/bin/dsmc schedule
