UW-Madison Google Workspace - Binary files and legacy comments
What are binary files?
Binary files are files stored in Drive other than Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Drawings - e.g. Microsoft Office files and PDFs.
What are legacy comments?
Legacy comments are comments inserted into a file using the Google Drive API, or a third party application before February, 2018, when Google launched their new commenting feature to allow users to comment on binary files while in the Google Drive preview pane.
