NetID login instructions for ArcGIS Pro

Installing ArcGIS Pro on a personal computer

The ArcGIS Pro application is available for Windows computers. On a computer with a different operating system (Mac), you may need to use a Windows virtual machine, or Remote Desktop to a Windows computer.

Go to https://esri.wisc.edu. Under the For Students dropdown, select ArcGIS Pro and expand the Installation menu. Follow the UW-Madison Box link to download the installation file.

Download ArcGISPro 30_182209.exe from within the ArcGIS Pro folder.

ArcGIS Pro .net Framework prompt

Once the download is complete, double-click the ArcGISPro 30_182209.exe file (it might be in your downloads folder) to begin the installation and click through the steps as you would normally do for installing software.

You may be prompted to download and install the Microsoft Windows Desktop Runtime (.NET 6). You can obtain that from Microsoft's website here
