Steps and processes for getting started with your account and the technology in Science Hall
Welcome to Science Hall! Below you will find a handy getting-started guide to your NetID and technology in Science Hall and on campus. All links on this page will open in a separate tab or window so you won't lose your place.
- The first step is to obtain your Wiscard, which you will need in order to obtain your NetID.
- Once you have your Wiscard you will need to activate your NetID. Your NetID is your single sign-on (SSO) username that is used for MyWisc, Canvas, Email, VPN, and much more. Once your NetID is activated you will have your UW Madison NetID and email address.
- After your NetID is activated you must set up multifactor authentication, known as MFA Duo. This adds a layer of security to your account, and your Duo code or push authorization will be required for many services on campus.
