MyUWO Portal - How to Submit NARFs
How and when to input NARFs for employees who are being hired, are leaving, or need their NARFs modified.
Add NARFs
***Before adding a new hire, please make sure their HR paperwork has been processed and they have a completed entry in HRS. Their accounts will not exist prior to the completion of this.
- Open https://portal.housing.uwosh.edu/Narf2/Home
- Select Submit NARF.
- Keep Add New Job selected and click Next.
- Select their position (if applicable select the Hall/s they will be working in).
- Put the Effective Date as the day they will start in their position.
- Enter their campus ID.
- Click the + Add button.
- Note: if they are currently in a position you will receive a prompt to delete it, only do so if they are no longer in this position.
- Repeat steps 4-7 for all NARFs you would like to enter.
- Click Next.
- Review the permissions and select Submit (you may need to scroll).

Delete NARFs
From Employees Tab
- Open https://portal.housing.uwosh.edu/Narf2/Employee
- Click Delete NARF next to the employee you would like to remove.
- Leave Terminated as No unless the person has been fired and is vacating the position immediately.
- Put the effective date as the employee's last day of work.
- Click Submit.
For Multiple Users
- Open https://portal.housing.uwosh.edu/Narf2/Home
- Select Submit NARF.
- Select Delete a Job and click Next.
- Enter the employee's campus ID number.
- Put the effective date as the employee's last day of work.
- Click the + Add button.
- Repeat steps 4-6 for all employees you wish to remove.
- Click Next.
- Review the employees and select Submit (you may need to scroll).
For All Employees in a Position
- Open https://portal.housing.uwosh.edu/Narf2/Home
- Select Submit NARF.
- Select Delete Narf By Position and click Next.
- Select the Position from the drop down.
- Put the effective date as the employees' last day of work. Click Next.
- Review the users and remove any that you don't want to delete by clicking the X next to their entry. Click Next.
- Review entries a final time and click Submit.
Change Hall NARFs
From Employees Tab
- Open https://portal.housing.uwosh.edu/Narf2/Employee
- Click Hall NARF next to the employee you would like to change halls.
- Select the Hall/s you would like to add. (If you are adding halls but not removing any reenter the current hall.)
- Put the effective date as the day they will need access in the new hall.
- Click Submit.
From Submit NARF Tab
- Open https://portal.housing.uwosh.edu/Narf2/Submit/HallChange
- Enter in the Employee ID and select Look-Up.
- Select the position for which you would like to change halls.
- Select the Hall/s you would like to add. (If you are adding halls but not removing any reenter the current hall.)
- Put the effective date as the day they will need access in the new hall.
- Click Submit.
Permission Changes
***If a permission change applies to all persons in a position and is not a temporary change, please contact the Help Desk to request a change to the NARF position.
From Employees Tab
- Open https://portal.housing.uwosh.edu/Narf2/Employee
- Click Permission NARF next to the employee you would like to add/remove permissions from.
- Put the effective date as the day they will need the access changed.
- Click Submit. (Be patient it takes a while)
- Use the dropdowns to select the access that is needed. There may be additional configurations depending on what is selected.
- Click Submit.
From Submit NARF
- Open https://portal.housing.uwosh.edu/Narf2/Submit/PermissionChange?isComplete=True
- Enter the employee's Campus ID and click Look-up.
- Select the position for which changes should be made.
- Put the effective date as the day they will need the access changed.
- Click Next. (Be patient it takes a while)
- Use the dropdowns to select the access that is needed. There may be additional configurations depending on what is selected.
- Click Submit and Complete.
