Modifying ODBC Connections

A step by step process on how to modify ODBC Connections

  1. Click Start, then Settings, then Control Panel 
  2. Double-click Administrative Tools 
  3. Double-click Data Sources (ODBC) 
  4. Click the second tab from the left – System DSN
  5. Click on the source name (the ODBC you want to modify) and click the Confgure… button on the right. 
  6. Click Next.
  7. Click Client Configuration…
    1. Uncheck the box to the left of Dynamically determine port and change the Port number to the specific port (varies by application).
  8. Click OK, then click Cancel on the Microsoft SQL Server DSN Configuration screen. 
  9. Click OK on the ODBC Data Source Administrator screen.
