As part of the transformation of the Wendt Commons building, the Libraries have been in the process of transitioning Wendt Library’s collections, services, and staff into the Science & Engineering Libraries’ largest library – Steenbock Library. As a final step in the transition, May 18, 2018 will be the last day the library services will be offered in Wendt Commons.
The Undergraduate Learning Center hosts drop-in tutoring on the 3rd Floor of Wendt Commons Sunday-Thursday 6:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. The Wisconsin Collaboratory for Enhanced Learning (WisCEL) is located in Room 410.
Collection focus: Primarily engineering disciplines, but includes many materials from other fields such as chemistry, physics, mathematics, statistics, atmospheric/oceanic sciences and computer sciences.
Special collections: U.S. patent collections, government documents, and technical reports.
Circulation eligibility: Available to anyone with a UW-Madison ID or annual borrowing card (issued by Memorial Library).
Patent and Trademark Services -- Patent and Trademark services have been relocated from Wendt Library to Steenbock Library, Room 118. The library maintains all U.S. utility, design, and plant patents in various formats, and provides reference tools and searching assistance for both the general public and the UW-Madison community.
