What it means:
You might still be seeing an error message from the
last time your attempted to add the course to your cart or enroll. The message
does not refresh/revalidate and will stay on the page until you revalidate the course in your cart or the next time you try to enroll.
What to do:
Examine the error message to see if you have cleared the issue. Some examples: you have received permission to enroll, you have cleared a hold.
You can revalidate the course in your cart to check if the validation error has cleared. Select the checkbox next to the course name and then click the
Revalidate button. If the
validation error cleared, you can now enroll (even if there's still an
enrollment error message). Check the checkbox next to the course and click the
Enroll button.
Example:
In this example you have added ART 336 to your cart last week. At that time, you weren't declared in an Art graduate program, hence you didn't meet enrollment requisites.
As of today, you do meet the enrollment requisites but you are still seeing the same error message.
You can revalidate the course in your cart so the message clears by checking the checkbox next to the course and clicking the Revalidate button. If the validation error cleared, you can now enroll (even if there's still an enrollment error message). Another troubleshooting option is to remove the saved section from your cart and re-saving it.
- While in your Cart, click on “See Sections” to open section details for the class
- Click on “Remove Section”
- Re-select your section of choice and click on “Save Section"
