This document lists and compares features of applications and token/fob devices that can be used to log in with MFA-Duo.
Note: Token/fobs and security keys are provided to faculty, staff, and students at no cost.
The Android or iPhone mobile application can be used with phones or tablets for any desktop or mobile authentication. See information on how to setup a Smartphone or Tablet.

A small code reader that plugs into your computer's USB port and inserts a passcode electronically during MFA login on your desktop device. Using this device as your ONLY option could lead to potential problems (e.g. logging into devices without USB ports), but it is an excellent backup or secondary MFA device. Once installed, the mobile app gives the choice between entering a passcode or receiving an "approve/deny" notification for authentication.

A passcode is read off of the device and then entered into the authentication field.
Some may have difficulty reading the token code within the allotted time and syncing to their account.

Will populate a passcode entry for use on other browsers and locally for desktop software with default registration.
Secondary U2F functionality will allow fast login on Chrome browser web apps.
Will need dongle adapter for Mac laptop USB-C ports.
