Background Information
'Bucky Backup,' is a data backup system from Tivoli used by UW Madison and UW Extension departments and administrative offices, faculty and staff to provide data backup/protection and recovery for their workstations and servers. DoIT provides backup services for Windows, UNIX, Sun, Netware, and Macintosh platforms.
Support Conditions
For most operating systems, the latest version available is 5.5. Instructions for downloading and installing the client are available in the following KnowledgeBase documents:

Availability
Bucky Backup is used by UW Madison departments and administrative offices, faculty and staff.
Bucky Backup has a weekly maintenance window every Monday afternoon beginning at 1:00pm and ending at 3:00pm. All maintenance affecting client performance will be preceded by an e-mail announcement to all users alerting them of any potential problems.
