DoIT Shared Tools - GitLab - Login and Access

GitLab is a code repository available to DoIT technologists. It can also be used for instructional use, and non-commercial academic research. This installation is meant to support a wide variety of clients, provide maximum flexibility in configuration, and offer other repository-related services.

Logging In

UW-Madison students, staff, and faculty can access the DoIT-maintained GitLab instance at git.doit.wisc.edu with their NetID and use GitLab for teaching/learning, for non-commercial research and for administration of the University.

On the login screen, look for the option to sign in with UW-Madison NetID:

Troubleshooting

If you are unable to log into git.doit.wisc.edu with your NetID, please perform browser troubleshooting such as clearing cache and cookies and using a private browser.

Service Window

The Git service is regularly patched and updated on Tuesday nights from 10 pm to 11:59 pm. User experiences may be affected and access may be unavailable/ difficult during these periods.
