This policy establishes guidelines granting paid leave for UW–Madison employees while voting or serving as an election official during working hours.
The Office of Human Resources (OHR) is currently reviewing this policy. OHR is consolidating and updating the format of policies to reflect changes in state law that took effect on July 1, 2015. Until this policy has been revised, please refer to the existing policy or policies:
For Academic Staff, Faculty, and/or Limited appointees: UPPP 16.02 Sick Leave, Vacation, ALRA, Bereavement Leave, Jury Duty, and Other Leaves with Pay and UPPP 16.02 Serving as an Election Official
For University Staff: CPP 16.06 Elections
