UW-Madison Zoom - Alternative Hosting Workaround

This document shows how to create and start two concurrent webinars at the same time.

This workaround requires assigning another UW-Madison Zoom user as an alternative host to one of your webinars.

Workaround:

  1. Create two webinars you would like to start at the same time.

  2. Assign a UW-Madison Zoom account (ex: netid@wisc.edu) as an alternative host to one of the events. 

  3. As the host, start one event.

  4. As the alternative host, start the other event.

    1. Alternative hosts may receive an error message asking them to end the other meeting.  
    2. They should select "End Other Meeting".
    3. Note: This will not end the first event.

  5. Done.
