Snowflake Connection fails in Tableau Desktop

If you see an error like this when you try to connect to Snowflake:

Snowflake connection error on Tableau desktop

Please follow these steps:

      1. Close Tableau if it’s open.
      2. Go to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features.
      3. Find Tableau in the list of programs. Click Uninstall/Change.
      4. Click Repair in the pop-up window.

If that fails, then uninstall and re-install Tableau (you’ll likely need to have your product key at hand, just in case Windows doesn’t remember it).

Error "The crosstab exceeds the size allowed and cannot be exported." Exporting to Crosstab

Tableau Server has a limit 33,554,432 cells for downloading csv from crosstab. Limit the data by filtering before downloading it and it should resolve the issue.
