Accessibility & usability barriers 

The following information is provided to help people with disabilities know what potential barriers may exist.

People with visual disabilities may have difficulty using Lumen

Screen reader accessibility barriers

People using a screen reader may have difficulty using Lumen due accessibility barriers including missing heading levels as well as missing or vague form labels, function labels, and alt text. 

Color contrast accessibility barriers

Some text colors fail color contrast accessibility and make it difficult for people who are color blind to see or read the content.

Magnification accessibility barriers

User experiences should be able to reflow to fit 200% - 400% magnification so that people with low vision can increase the magnification and be able to read and navigate without difficulty. People with low vision may have difficulty using Lumen due to accessibility barriers including horizontal scrolling causing increased difficulty when navigating tables.

People with motor disabilities may have difficulty using Lumen

Focus indicator styling is inconsistent and often fails color contrast or is missing. This makes it difficult for people who are navigating via keyboard to know where the keyboard focus is located. This can especially impact people with motor disabilities.
