[MUSIC] Hello, and thank you for joining our Kaltura customer tutorial videos. In this video, I'll demonstrate how to add a co-publisher, or co-editor. When you upload or create media in Kaltura, you're automatically assigned as the owner of that media. The media owner is the person who can administer the media and is credited with that media. This is not necessarily the copyright owner of the content. You can add co-publishers to media to allow colleagues or peers to use the media in their courses without making changes to it. This is perfect for team teaching or if you want to share resources among a small group of people. To add media collaborators go to My Media and select the edit button near the video you want to add collaborators to. The Edit Media page opens with editing tabs. Select the Collaboration tab. If this tab is missing from your editing option, please contact your Kaltura administrator. In the collaboration tab, you can change the media ownership and add co-editors and co-publishers to their media. Once you change ownership of the media, it will no longer appear in your My Media list and you will not be able to edit or publish the media unless the new owner adds you as a collaborator. To change the owner, enter the name or user name of the person to whom you're transferring ownership. You may want to share your content or enable others to publish it while still retaining ownership of it, in this case, you can assign co-publishers and co-editors. To add a co-publisher or co-editor, click add collaborator. Search for the user and select the user's username. You can assign them to the rules of a co-publisher or co-editor, or designate them with both roles. To edit their rights to the media or remove them as a collaborator, use the icons next to their name. Co-publishers can publish media to their course gallery or embed it into their course items. Co-publishers cannot make changes to the media or delete it. Co-editors can edit the entry's details and metadata. They can also trim media, replace media, edit captions, edit chapters, and edit slides. Co-editors cannot delete media or add new co-editors and co-publishers. To effortlessly find the media files where you have a collaborator right, you should filter your media list. Go to My Media and filter by media I can publish. Here, you can see the list of media that you were designated as co-publisher. In this case, you can see that I have been added as a co-publisher to two videos. I can use the publish function but I do not have the option to edit or delete the media. When filtering by Media I Can Edit, you see media you are assigned co-editor. In this case, you can see that I've been added as a co-editor to this to media. Here I can access the edit functions, but do not have the ability to publish or delete the media owner's content. Thank you for watching. See you on our next tutorial video.
