Canvas - Integration - LinkedIn Learning 1.3

Functional testing has revealed issues which will prevent some campuses from implementing the LinkedIn Learning LTI 1.3 integration for Canvas. Interested campus Canvas administrators should contact the Digital Learning Environment Service team.

Summary

LinkedIn Learning, formerly known as Lynda.com, offers online video tutorials on business, software, and IT topics. The benefits of integrating LinkedIn Learning content with Canvas include: seamless access to LinkedIn Learning for students and instructors, engaging user experiences for students and instructors, and gradable content.

Campuses with existing LinkedIn instances that use a LinkedIn User ID other than the Canvas User ID may not be able to implement the integration at all. Even without this issue, this integration requires significant configuration and campus resources to support. Interested campus administrators should work with the DLE Team to determine if integration is possible.

Costs

LinkedIn Learning is implemented at the campus level. There are no direct costs to instructors or students.
