Canvas - Integration - Brainfuse

The Brainfuse integration for Canvas is approved for use in the Digital Learning Environment. The Brainfuse integration allows students to access live online tutoring ("Live Help") and writing assistance ("Writing Lab"). Instructors can also assign live help and writing lab tasks to students, which are sent to students as Canvas Inbox messages with completion tracked within the Brainfuse platform.

Costs

Requires an institutional subscription to Brainfuse.

New Users

Students and Instructors interested in using Brainfuse in Canvas should contact their campus tutoring center to see if their university subscribes to Brainfuse. If Brainfuse is available at the university, instructors should then contact their campus Canvas administrator to request the installation of the Brainfuse external tool in their course or subaccount.

Directions

After the campus Canvas administrator adds the Brainfuse external tool to a Canvas course or subaccount, students and instructors can launch it from the "Brainfuse Online Tutoring" link in the course navigation menu and follow the instructions found on the Brainfuse website:

Users needing support can open a ticket with Brainfuse by making a submission to their "Contact Us" web form or emailing support@brainfuse.com.
