Interactive Reporting - Hyperion Studio Desktop Client Support Ending (March 1, 2019)

You are receiving this email because you have been identified as a Hyperion Interactive Reporting Studio desktop client user. If you no longer use Hyperion Interactive Reporting Studio desktop client, you may disregard this message.

Starting March 1, 2019

Starting March 1, the Hyperion Interactive Reporting Studio desktop client will no longer be supported by campus IT services. If the software is currently installed on your computer, you are welcome to continue using it; however, the software is out of support by its manufacturer, which means no efforts will be made to fix security issues or add functionality to the software. Additionally, any major changes to your computer, e.g. updating to a newer version of Windows, may impact the software’s functionality.

Replacement Options

We understand users of Hyperion Interactive Reporting use it in many distinct ways. There are several options for you to use in place of Hyperion Interactive Reporting. For many users, Microsoft Access may be a viable replacement. Microsoft Access is part of the Office 365 software suite and is likely already installed on your Windows computer.

MS Access Content and Tutorials

The Office of Data Management and Analytics Services is developing content to help Hyperion Interactive Reporting desktop client users become more comfortable with Microsoft Access. To assist users who have not used Microsoft Access before, we have created a series of documents to help you get started, located on the Office of Data Management and Analytics Services KnowledgeBase site. We also recommend utilizing, which is free to use for UW-Madison students, faculty, and staff, for excellent Microsoft Access tutorials.
