Engage - Engage eText Analytics

This document provides basic information on how an instructor can access analytics regarding student reading of eTexts in the Engage platform.

NOTE: Offline-reading, including print or mobile, is not tracked. Analytics are currently not available for EPUB eTexts in Engage.

The Engage PDF reader analytics offers useful feedback about student eText use. Such information can be helpful in student conferences and determining whether students are reading assigned material.

To access analytics:

Click on the View analytics button under the title of your text to view the analytics for that eText:

An analytics window will open on the Reading tab. The Reading tab will show you who has accessed the title, including how many and which pages they visited and revisited. The Highlights, notes and questions tab will show you how many questions, highlights, and notes they have made.

You can export information from either tab as a .CSV file by clicking Export in the upper right of the window.

More information about Analytics can be found in Unizin's Resources documentation.
