WiscVPN - Configuring the Native VPN Client (Android/Linux)
This document provides guidance in configuring WiscVPN for native VPN (IPSEC) clients. WiscVPN can be configured on many Android and Linux devices using the native VPN client
Configuring The Native Client

In your phone's Settings app, tap the More button.

Under Wireless & networks, select VPN.

If you have not set up a lock screen PIN or password on your device, you will be prompted to do so before configuring a VPN profile. Tap OK and follow the prompts to establish a PIN or password. When you are finished or if you had previously set up a lock screen PIN or password proceed to the next step.

Tap the plus button to configure settings for WiscVPN.

In the window that appears labeled Edit VPN profile, enter the appropriate configuration information for your conditions:
- Name: WiscVPN
- Type: IPSec Xauth PSK
- Server address: uwmadison.vpn.wisc.edu
- IPSec identifier: vpnw1sc2002
- IPSec pre-shared key: vpnw1sc2002
- Username: NetID
- Password: NetID Password

When you have entered the information above, tap Save to continue.

The VPN screen should now indicate that you are connected.
