Which State Law(s) should be considered for research?

Frequently Asked Question

UW-Madison IRBs must comply with applicable ethical principles and federal laws governing human subjects research, in addition to state and local laws. If the research enrolls minor subjects with impaired decision-making capacity; or testing for communicable diseases, the applicable state law should be reviewed and applied to the research project.
