UDOIT Accessibility Checker - Overview [UW-Madison]
This document provides some basic information about the centrally supported accessibility checker UDOIT, including tips on how to get started using the tool.
What is UDOIT?
The Universal Design Online Content Inspection Tool, or UDOIT (pronounced, “You Do It”), is a course accessibility checker integrated in Canvas. Instructors and course designers can use it to scan an entire Canvas course to identify accessibility barriers.

Resolve Common Errors
Common errors and suggestions are listed onthis document from UW-System. These are also displayed in the UDOIT interface.
Reports
The tool also maintains reports as to how many barriers have been identified, how many have been fixed, and how many remain to be addressed.
Use Cases
UDOIT can be used for all Canvas courses to find accessibility barriers, which can inhibit student’ experience with the course.
